Quick question please. My friend and I are trying in vain to remember a book we read years ago - back when we were teenagers. All we can remember was the former KGB guy was named Vasily, there was a counterpart CIA type guy and a mysterious woman love interest. They were popping off various members of the spy hierarchy. Its not the Matarese Circle, but the plot seems very similar. Any suggestions?

I was Ted's partner in our PR consultancy, Allbeury Coombs and Partners and in one of his books he acknowledged how I got him intoi writing when he was ina long period of depression and inactvity becuse of the kidnapping of his daughter. He showed me the start of his book A Choice of Enemies. I sent it to a literary agent who got him to finish it (he wrote in pencil on A4 jumbo pads) and found him a publisher. The rest is history. Ted dedicated 'The Palomino Blonde' to me and my wife Anne.

Of course i have some regrets for our film. A good thought might have been to push the twist forward, but because the title was already set i knew the audience would already know that our cia inflitrator is a bit furry. Thank you for aknowledging some of the finer points in the film that i agree upon.

Beautiful.:)
